openbve software package provides realistic 3D train/railway simulator (main program), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install openbve
openbve is installed in your system.
Make ensure the openbve package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep openbve *
You will get with openbve package name, version, architecture and description in a table
